Visiting the new Missoula International Airport tower.

Montana is beyond home for me. Its mountains are rooted in my bones. Its rivers course through my veins. The depths of its lakes mirror the depths of my emotions. The wind chases my dreams across its plains and its vaulted skies draw my thoughts to the starry expanse. If I put any name to it, Montana is my soul.

This blog: 960 posts, 161 followers…

… and me: 0 time to maintain it any more :/ Not that I do much more than troll #montana & related tags & reblog, but even that is too much for my life these days.

So I’m going to load up the queue up to ***1000 posts*** & then remove myself as a member, to force myself out of the multiple-blogging business. (there are two other members but I am the primary poster)

If you are interested in being a maintainer for this blog, I will basically add anybody who expresses interest, but Tumblr requires that I add you by email address. Click here to submit a post expressing interest with your email address, which I will NOT publish but Tumblr is stoopid & doesn’t let asks contain email addresses.

(I’ll probably keep my other Montana-dedicated blog around for a little longer, but it may be going away once the post count hits 1000 as well. We’ll see…)

Montana State Election Results Online - !!

406mt:

*** UPDATED DIRECT LINK TO SOS STATEWIDE ELECTION RESULTS ****

^^^ from the Montana Secretary of State.
Please note that these are labeled UNOFFICIAL but I think it’s about as authoritative as it gets. (it also has an auto-refresh timer ~fancy~)

Here are links to pretty election results from Politico*

* I stopped paying attention to political web sites after 2004’s crushing disappointments, so if this is a partisan site I honestly am not aware. Looks like they will have pretty results for all 50 states though!

Wonderful early-autumn picture of the Centennial mountain range in BLM-Montana.  The area is a Wilderness Study Area that spans much of this east-west range. The Centennials serve as a connection between Yellowstone and the Northern Rockies for grizzlies and other wildlife to migrate.
